Soft and Bio NanoInterfaces Lab

The behaviour and structure of soft interfaces at the nanoscale is at the centre of our research. We are particularly interested in solid-liquid interfaces where the organization and dynamics of the liquid molecules at the interface with the solid can control phenomena such as adsorption, self-assembly, lateral diffusion and molecular ordering, and the mechanical properties of soft materials in solution. Our research follows interfaces across several scientific fields such as soft matter and biological physics, functional interfaces for nanotechnology and energy-related applications. We also work on the developpement of novel experimental approaches capable of providing quantitative information with sufficient resolution.
